This Privacy Policy explains what EasyTextNow® (a brand of BYTEWONDERS LLC, "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to easytextnow.com and our messaging service.

Information we collect

• From the payer: your email address and mobile phone number, your name if you provide it, and the federal register (BOP) number you enter to identify the incarcerated person you are supporting.
• Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles it directly. We keep a record of the transaction (amount, date, last-four, and the Stripe customer/subscription identifiers).
• Public inmate data: when you enter a register number we look it up against the U.S. Bureau of Prisons public inmate locator to confirm the name and facility. We store the register number and the returned name/facility to route service correctly.
• Message metadata: to deliver messages we process the content and routing of SMS and email that pass through the service.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, and security signals (including reCAPTCHA) used to prevent fraud and abuse.

How we use it

To provide and operate the service, verify the inmate, process your payment, deliver messages, send you receipts and account notices, provide support, prevent fraud/abuse, and comply with law.

Multi-payer privacy

An incarcerated person may be supported by more than one payer. We never disclose to any payer that other payers exist, who they are, or any of their information. Each payer's account, payments, and contact details are kept independent and private.

Who we share with

We share data only with service providers that help us run the service, under contract and only as needed: Stripe (payments), Telnyx (SMS), our email delivery providers (Google Workspace and MessageBird/Bird), Google Cloud (hosting), and the corrections communications systems required to reach the inmate. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.

SMS data

If you opt in to SMS, we use your number to send you account and delivery notifications. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase beyond the notifications tied to your order. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our SMS Terms.

Retention & security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal/accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, secret management). No method is 100% secure.

Your choices

You may request access to or deletion of your personal information, and unsubscribe from SMS at any time (STOP). Contact support@easytextnow.com (include the inmate's BOP number for faster help).
