After you make a payment for the service, our system will generate a unique email address that the inmate has to add to the prison computer system.*
Once the email is added, instructions on how to use the service are instantly sent to the inmate, and he/she can start sending unlimited messages immediately, to any phone number in the United States and Canada, with no restrictions (according to the selected plan).
To Opt in to receive messages, text START to (201) 588-1328. Message frequency varies, depending on customer interactions and replies. Text HELP for help. Text STOP to cancel. Message and Data rates may apply. Check our Privacy Policy, and our SMS Terms and Conditions.
You will receive the messages from a phone number, you can confidently save this number to your contact list, because this is a permanent unique number that belongs only to that inmate, all messages sent to that number will be received your inmate.**
You just have to reply to the message, like you do with any other messages you receive.
(*) If you are unable to contact the inmate, we can send him/her a letter through regular mail to inform them about the service and how to start using it, contact us with this request. Please note that inmates must have access to the prison computer system to use our service. If they are out of balance or in temporary restriction from the computer, they cannot use this service.
(**) Inmates phone numbers used for sending texts are permanent and belongs to them as long as the service payments are up-to-date.
